Dona
Paula beach is easily one of the busiest
beaches in Goa for several reasons.
The region
itself has become increasingly popular as
more and more people visit the area and tell
their friends and family about the incredible
surroundings and fantastic vacation they
spent in Goa.
There are numerous shacks and
huts along this Goan beach that sell everything
from local cuisine and local liquor to trinkets
and locally made craft items.
As well as
the quaint shacks run by local vendors, Dona
Paul Beach in Goa has a now infamous history.
The
area is named after Dona Paula de Menzes,
the daughter of a viceroy who jumped off the
cliff because she wasn’t permitted to marry
the man she loved. |
